If you are an IMI employee and your loved one was an immediate family member, there are important benefits and resources available to help you navigate their passing.
If you’ve lost a spouse/partner or child, IMI gives you up to two weeks of paid leave.
You’re eligible for three paid days of bereavement leave for the death of an immediate family member. An immediate family member includes:
Let your supervisor and HR partner know as soon as you're able. Submit a formal leave request to the leave team at leave@imiamericasinc.com and keep your HR partner included on any related communication.
If you need support as you grieve, you can receive up to six free counseling sessions through the Employee Assistance Program (EAP). If you need additional support, Anthem and Kaiser can help you find a mental health provider. You can also receive virtual mental health care through LiveHealth Online if you’re an Anthem medical plan member, or by calling the number on the back of your ID card if you’re a Kaiser medical plan member.
