Eligibility and Enrollment

Who's eligible

You're eligible for IMI benefits if you're a full-time employee working at least 30 hours per week.

You can also enroll your spouse or state-registered domestic partner* and your dependent children on most plans. Dependent children include:

  • Biological children
  • Stepchildren
  • Legally adopted children
  • Any child for whom you have legal or court-ordered guardianship

Dependent children are covered up to age 26 (or older if permanently disabled).

You'll need to submit proof of eligibility for anyone you add before their coverage is activated.

*Imputed income applies to domestic partner coverage. Only certain states allow domestic partners to be registered — if yours does, you'll need to provide proof of registration.

When can you enroll?

You can enroll yourself and your eligible dependents through PlanSource:

  • As a new hire — within 30 days of your hire date
  • During Open Enrollment — each year, for coverage the following plan year
  • After a qualifying life event — within 30 days of things like getting married, having a baby, or losing other coverage

When life changes. Whether you're getting married, taking a leave of absence, or having a baby, your IMI benefits are here to support you. Visit the Moments That Matter tiles to see how your benefits help through life's big moments — and what steps you need to take to update your coverage.
