IMI offers a variety of options, so you can choose a medical plan that fits your needs.
All IMI employees have access to three medical plans:
The HSA High and HSA Low plans come with a tax-advantaged Health Savings Account (HSA) — and money from IMI to help you get started.
Employees in California also have access to the Kaiser HMO Plan.
All plans cover doctor visits, prescriptions, labs, radiology, hospital stays and surgeries, and mental health care. Every plan also provides 100% coverage for in-network preventive care — including annual physicals, recommended screenings, and vaccines — with no deductible.
If you choose the HSA High, HSA Low, or PPO plan, you'll have access to the Anthem national network of providers. You can choose to go out-of-network, but you'll generally pay more.
If you choose the Kaiser HMO (CA only), you must use Kaiser doctors and facilities. There is no out-of-network coverage with Kaiser.
¹ Company HSA contributions are prorated based on your enrollment date during the plan year.
² In the HSA plans, the full family deductible must be met before the plan pays for any individual family member.
All of the medical plans help you pay for prescription drugs too, and many preventive and maintenance medications are available at no cost to you.
Imputed income applies if you cover your state-registered domestic partner.
Data shows that most employees can save hundreds of dollars a year by choosing one of the HSA plans instead of the PPO plan. You pay less in premiums and keep more money in your own pocket. Plus, you can save tax-free money in an account that is always yours to keep — with free money from IMI.
Our plans are self-funded, which means IMI's costs are the same regardless of which plan you choose. We want to help you choose the plan that best balances your health care needs and overall costs.
When you enroll, compare your options and find the best fit for you and your family. If your spouse or domestic partner has coverage available through their employer, look at all your options before choosing what's best for your family.
If you enroll in one of the HSA plans, consider the supplemental health insurance options, like accident, critical illness, and hospital indemnity insurance. These benefits pay a cash benefit you can use toward the deductible — or for anything else like groceries, rent, or child care.
